There's been a lot of coverage lately of celebrities behaving badly (not that there's anything new about that), I thought it might be nice to show one of them doing something cool. First, Beyonce gave her spotlight to Taylor Swift during the MTV awards; www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SkN1s3E0jwNow this; www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlTG07DV2iIOkay, the last link to this video I put here was removed. I've put in a new link now, that's working (for now).

Never really listen to Beyonce, but that was a couple of really classy acts on her part.

I bought "Halo" from iTunes because of that video. Here's the story behind it. www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,26113177-2,00.html?from=public_rss

It's a beautiful story Web and the song is one I've always liked but she puts it into perspective doesn't she? here's a vid I found online www.youtube.com/watch?v=70AgyIEnBREthe observation you shared yesterday was a good one, although Beyonce's been around longer, and no, it's not quite right comparing "teeny bopper" to what she can do. Girl's been singing her whole life and she has some awesome pipes. But they're different styles too and Swift hasn't had the benefit of the R&B background or writing, or even the training, from what little I know about her ...and the man in this video did not upset me one bit, by the way

Rosa, that was really cool. Don't know that I've seen that many stars sing together since USA for Africa. You remember. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmxT21uFRwM BTW, I agree with you about Miley.

Got it. Web agrees with me about something. Not as good as a ringtone: "you're right", but I'll take it for now

Yeah, that was back when Michael was still black, and Web sez "Still a guy", and Oh, Come Back Steve Perry!"
I will never, ever forgive Journey!

and he's got a better sense of rhythm than my husband does My nieces introduced one of my babies to Ricky Martin, so he danced in his diapers to these two until he got to looking too closely at the girls in these videos. Was already bad enough he was singing them in the grocery store...yep, "she bangs" coming from a toddler... he still remembers these. What can I say? These girls were and are still way ahead of me

Here's another Beyonce I always liked Web--"I could have another like you by tomorrow" I have a special place in my cold heart for break-up songs--isn't the girl in this vid just too creepy?:

I guess ya gotta be a girl...or something ;D
btw, the notes on this one say this vid was shot in a trailer park that got blown away by a meth lab that went up

It's cool, Rosa. You haven't jacked the thread. From little Chelsea to the dancing baby, to the vids you posted and the memories they brought back for you, music has such a big impact for a reason. Besides, as a concept, I don't believe there's really such a thing as "thread jacking". Threads in a discussion forum are much like any conversation, prone to taking many different directions no matter the starting point.
