The new landing data has been posted and we look good for the reentry on the first attempt to the Cape.Running some simulations it looks like Atlantis will be due south of El Paso at around 7:51am MDT tomorrow morning. My guess is it will be 50 degrees or higher in our sky in El Paso. You will want to watch NASA TV to see when Altantis is approaching our area. The second attempt to land at the Cape comes in the next orbit. This reentry track carries Atlantis a liittle more to the south of El Paso but it should be at least 30 degrees or more in elevation on this projected reentry. Since the Altantis will be passing in daylight do not expect a bright object with fire trailing. The shuttle will look like a high flying airplane with a contrail behind it.The contrail could be short and stubby or extend some distance back from the shuttle. We will just have to wait to see what we get. Cross your finger that we get good weather at the Cape and in El Paso. Go Atlantis! Thomas the Flash

Atlantis has be waved off for the first landing this morning.Thunderstorms in the 30 mile landing zone.Still have one more chance but weather still an issue at the Cape.Edwards Airforce base could be the landing site .It's a watch and wait. Thomas the Flash

The best I can tell at this time is Atantis, if it goes into the Cape would be due south of El Paso around 9:30am MDT.Rosa ,you may wish to start looking about five minutes before this time and after. Also keep an eye on NASA TV this will help in knowing when Alantis is approaching the area.Best I can tell we are looking at a reentry in the 35 to 40 degree range off our southern horizon. Altantis will be moving from west to east. The track will take Atlantis over or just slightly North of Chihuahua Mexico than on a more East-Northeasterly track up over Texas. This is the best I can give you at this time.
