Kolmar Laboratories no longer considering El Paso for possible relocation By Ed Shugert / El Paso Times Posted: 09/16/2009 11:45:53 AM MDT EL PASO -- Kolmar Laboratories has scratched El Paso off its list of cities for a possible relocation. "El Paso is no longer in the running for our facilty," Sue DeRose, administrative assistant to Robert Theroux, president and CEO of Kolmar, said today. The New York cosmetics and pharmaceutical manufacturer was looking at El Paso for a possible relocation of its factories and corporate headquarters, along with about 750 jobs, including chemists and other high-skilled occupations. In April, the city of El Paso offered Kolmar $1.5 million in property tax rebates to relocate here. El Paso County offered the company $728,720 in tax rebates. The company is still considering other sites, DeRose said. Theroux said in April that San Antonio, Louisiana and New Jersey were candidates. Kolmar is based in Port Jervis, N.Y. www.elpasotimes.com/newupdated/ci_13349053
