I know some of you may think I over do it when it comes to promoting The Autism Society of El Paso's I-Pad III Raffle so let me explain why The Autism Society is selling these tickets. We buy the prize for roundly $540.00 so we have to sell 54 tickets to break even. Every ticket after that is "profit". So what are our plans for the profit? Buy as many I-Pads as the "profit" can sustain and GIVE them away to parents identified through educators as in need so their child on the Autism Spectrum can use the available Aps to learn, to communicate, to connect. As the parent of a son with Autism I cannot tell you how helpful having an I-Pad has been to improve his ability to communicate with us. Is it perfect? No. But he can now use all the tools to clearly communicate what he wants more times than not. I know way too many parents with such a child who just cannot afford an I-Pad. This is our way, our dream, for making just a small tangible difference in our community. The Autism Society is by far self supporting. We raise most of our funds through the generosity of the community So if you can find it in your heart to help, please buy a ticket today. Your $10 purchase will help greatly. secure.piryx.com/donate/WG8RdR5y/Autism-Society-El-Paso-TX/octoberipad2012P.S. my son Matthew, is also now addicted to You-Tube where he looks up videos of his favorite things - Disneyland, Southwest and United Airlines, Hotels
