I was out this morning just at daybreak and found this little friend crossing my yard. This is a gentle giant of the spider world and our far west Texas desert. So do not kill and leave for others to enjoy. Thomas the Flash

Flash, I live on the Northeast and we get a lot of tarantulas (not to mention centipedes, millipedes, scorpions and vingaroons). I never kill 'em. I need them to eat the roaches. I like your attitude about nature a lot, sincerely. Not too many folks would call a tarantula a "little friend". It's a cool perspective and I'm glad you share it with us. Makes me look at things differently every now and then.

Web I'm glad you enjoy my little friend. What I like, which does not show well in the image, is how purple looking is fur in the morning light. I try real hard not to stress the little guy as I shot images of him and I stood for some time watching as the liitle fur ball walk away.I know I am touched to be so amazed in God's wonders and to spend so much time chasing and hunting such wonders out. Still think God makes the cools things on the planet if only more would open their eyes and be amazed. THomas the Flash
