On the mornings of May 5 and May 6 El Paso is well positioned to catch the Eta Aquarid meteor shower. Best seen from the southern hemisphere but because of El Paso being in the far southern U.S. we get to see the meteor shower better than most other parts of the nation. Eta Aquarids are dust and debris left behind by Halley's Comet.
