Eavesdropping
Mother God woke up this morning, Took a bite out of a juicy apple, And sauntered into the next mansion To say hello to Father God. Father God was sitting in his easy chair, Watching Uni-vision, With a frown on his face. “The Universal situation is desperate as usual,” He casually commented. Mother God smiled enigmatically, After all it was a very tasty apple, “How’s the Little Galaxy doing these days?” she asked.
“Oh, the Milky Way spins along, But I am a bit worried about the children Of the outpost, the Solar System. Seems they’ll never get it together, Still bickering on the playground Of the Middle East, waging wars, killing over trivial matters, Hating in the name of love. It’s a worry!”
“After sending them one of our best teachers?” Mother God was dismayed.
“Don’t remind me about what happened there!” Father God was disgusted.
“Perhaps it’s time to send a new perspective.” Mother God chomped on her apple.
Father God contemplated a bit. “Perhaps. Let’s tune it out for now. Not much changes on that rascal rock. Would you mind sharing that apple with me?”
